Weather permitting, work will begin August 24 on N-2 Hyannis‑Whitman, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Paulsen, Inc., of Cozad, Nebraska, has the $5,198,177 contract. Work includes asphalt millings, surfacing, asphalt curb and flumes along with grading and earth shouldering. The work will take place between Reference Post 145.54 and Reference Post 159.02. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures, flaggers and a pilot car and reduced speed zones. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place during construction. Anticipated completion is November 2020.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
