Valentine Economic Development will offer limited emergency funding for local businesses that did not qualify for PPP funds or EIDL funding from the Small Business Administration. The Valentine City Council approved the funding proposal from the economic development board at last weeks meeting.
Micro business grants up to $1,000 per business will be made available to those businesses that did not qualify for SBA funds. Contact Mike Burge for details, or applications can be picked up at the Valentine Public Library. Those applications should be mailed back to Box 411 Valentine NE as soon as possible. The board felt that some capital help a little later in the economic downturn would be better timing for some businesses.
The Valentine Economic Development Board also is mailing out a quick survey to gauge what other emergency funding would best benefit Valentine area businesses. Those surveys should arrive in mail boxes this week. Please return to box 411, Valentine NE by May 31st. These surveys will help determine possible micro business grants and digital development grants in the near future. Contact Mike Burge at 402 376 6842 for further information.
