TRIBAL PRESIDENT RODNEY BORDEAUX ANNOUNCED IN A VIDEO CONFERENCE TODAY (5/13) THAT THE ROSEBUD SIOUX TRIBE WILL GO ON LOCK DOWN EFFECTIVE MIDNIGHT TONIGHT (12:01 AM MAY 14th) UNTIL SUNDAY, MAY 17th AT 6 AM.  THE REASON GIVEN WAS THAT THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE REFUSING TO QUARANTINE AS TODD COUNTY IS REPORTING SUBSTANTIAL COMMUNITY SPREAD.

ROAD CHECKPOINTS WILL BE SET UP:
BY THE CASINO ON HIGHWAY 83 ON THE NEBRASKA/SOUTH DAKOTA BORDER
HIGHWAY 18 EAST OF OKREEK
HIGHWAY 18 NEAR UPPER CUT MEAT
HIGHWAY 44 CORN CREEK COMMUNITY
HIGHWAY 44 WHITE RIVER
HIGHWAY 83 NORTH BY HORSE CREEK

THERE WILL ALSO BE RANDOM CHECKPOINTS AT OTHER LOCATIONS. COMMERCIAL TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED TO PASS. NON-RESIDENTS WILL BE ADVISED TO CONTINUE THROUGH TO DESTINATION WITHOUT STOPPING IN TODD COUNTY.

BUSINESSES WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO BE OPEN FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM DURING THE LOCK DOWN.

ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEES WILL BE PERMITTED TO WORK ONLY IF THEIR NAMES ARE ON THE LIST PROVIDED BY THE PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE.

MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS ARE PERMITTED WITH PROOF OF APPOINTMENT OR PROCEDURE.

ANYONE FOUND AWAY FROM THEIR HOME MAY BE ARRESTED OR ISSUED CITATIONS UNDER EMERGENCY DIRECTIVES ANNOUNCED ON TUESDAY, WHICH ARE LOCATED ON THE ROSEBUD SIOUX TRIBE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE’S FACEBOOK PAGE.
