Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
April 12-18, 2020
On 04/16/20 at 12:00 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of B and Western Streets. Following an investigation, a 23 year old South Dakota man was cited for possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce.
On 04/16/20 at 6:31 am, officers were requested to respond to the 200 block of south Main Street in regards to a disturbance. Following an investigation, a 43 year old Valentine woman was arrested for assault and child abuse. Nebraska CPS was called to assist.
On 04/16/20 at 3:43 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 1st and Main Streets. A 27 year old Crookston man was cited for a stop sign violation and no driver’s license.
On 04/16/20 at 7:00 pm, officers were called to the 800 block of east highway 20 in regards to a disturbance. Following an investigation, a 28 year old man from South Dakota was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and disturbing the peace. A 28 year old female from South Dakota was also arrested for disturbing the peace.
Officers responded to 152 calls for service this week.
