Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
April 5-11, 2020
On 4/6/20 at 11:35 am, an officer made contact with a 24 year old male with an active Cherry County warrant at the intersection of Main and 4th Streets. The man was arrested and transported to the Cherry County Jail.
On 4/7/20 at 11:39 am, officers were called to the 300 block of north Wood Street in regards to a disturbance. Following an investigation, a 57 year old Valentine woman was arrested for disturbing the peace.
On 4/7/20 at 12:18 pm, officers were called to the 400 block of west highway 20 in regards to a disturbance involving the threat of a firearm. All information and witness statements were forwarded to the Cherry County Attorney for review.
On 4/7/20 at 8:28 pm, officers were called to the 300 block of north Wood Street in regards to another disturbance. Following an investigation, a 34 year old woman and 35 year old man both from Valentine were arrested for assault.
On 4/7/20 at 10:28 pm, officers were called to the 800 block of Donaher Street in regards to a domestic disturbance. Following an investigation, a 34 year old Valentine man was arrested.
On 4/9/20 at 9:30 am, officers received a report of a theft of a trailer. Officers need your help locating a white 13’ enclosed trailer with NOTEBOOM AGENCY written on the side.
On 4/10/20 at 3:36 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of east highway 20. The department’s narcotic detection K9 was deployed. A 59 year old man from California was arrested on drug charges (marijuana and methamphetamine).
On 4/10/20 at 1:05 pm, an officer made contact with a 28 year old South Dakota woman who had an active Cherry County Warrant at the intersection of B and Eva Streets. The woman was arrested and transported to the Cherry County Jail.
Officers responded to 120 calls for service this week.
