The Cherry County Veterans Memorial Committee is pleased to announce a $20,000 grant from the Sandhills Area Foundation on February 27, 2020. This grant money will be used along with other monies donated to construct a Korean War Era memorial and a Vietnam War Era Memorial. With this grant, they are over one third of our way towards our goal of $90,000. They are planning for the dedication of these memorials at Veterans Memorial Park here in Valentine on July 4, 2020. Several other foundations and businesses and organizations are planning to donate or have fundraisers, including Tehrani Motors will during the month of March be donating $100 dollars for every new or used vehicle or Polaris sold towards the memorials expenses. The goal of the committee is $90,000 dollars and as of March 2, 2020 they are over one third of our goal. The CCVMC would like to thank everyone for your support of our veterans and these memorials which will last hundreds of years.
