Valentine Police Department Week in Review:

On 02/16/20 at 2:08 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 3rd and Main Streets. An 18 year old Valentine woman was cited for vehicle registration violations.
On 02/16/20 at 2:48 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 4th and Edna Streets. A 35 year old South Dakota man was cited for a driver’s license violation.
On 02/17/20 at 4:30 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near 5th and Macomb Streets. A 25 year old Valentine man was cited for not having proof of insurance.
On 02/17/20 at 7:25 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop. A 42 year old Valentine woman was cited for No Operator’s license.
On 2/18/20 at 2:45 pm, officers received a report of a theft by an unauthorized use of a financial transaction device. The investigation is ongoing. The reported theft exceeds the felony level threshold.
On 02/18/20 at 3:45 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Green and Bias Streets. A 35 year old Valentine man was cited for failing to stop for a school bus signal.
On 02/18/20 at 5:37 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main and 1st Streets. A 23 year old Valentine man was cited for multiple vehicle registration violations.
On 02/19/20 at 2:37 pm, officers met with a suspect from a delayed shoplifting report filed with the department the week prior. The 24 year old Valentine man was cited in connection to the theft.
On 02/19/20 at 5:20 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop near highway 20 and Cherry Streets. Following an investigation, a juvenile female was arrested.
On 02/20/20 at 2:12 pm, officers were requested to respond to the Super 8 Motel in regards to a disturbance. While on scene, officers were also called to the Speedee Mart for a disturbance. Officers found the two incidents were connected. A 30 year old South Dakota man was arrested for both incidents.
On 02/20/20 at 7:16 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop along highway 20. A 72 year old North Dakota man was cited for speeding.
On 02/22/20 at 10:08 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of east highway 20. A 55 year old Arizona woman was cited for speeding.
Officers responded to 150 calls for service this week.
