Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
January 26 – February 1, 2020
On 1/29/20 at 5:41 am, officers were requested to respond to the 300 block of North Wood Street in regards to a domestic disturbance. Following an investigation, officers determined that no criminal activity had occurred. No action taken.
On 1/29/20 at 5:45 am, officers were called to the area of Dowden and 10th Street in regards to a subject trying to get into cars. Following an investigation, officers were able to resolve without action.
On 1/29/20 at 9:54 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of East Highway 20 for speeding, a 39 year old Crookston man was cited for speeding and registration violations.
On 1/30/20 at 3:38 pm, officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of North Hall Street. Officers were able to resolve with no action. Neither subject involved wished to press charges.
On 1/30/20 at 8:51 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Highway 20 for speeding. A 26 year old Oklahoma woman was cited for speeding and possession of marijuana.
On 1/30/20 at 10:34 pm, a report of a hit and run was called in. Officers, with the assistance of witnesses, were able to locate those responsible. A 34 year old Valentine woman was arrested for criminal mischief, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident.
On 1/31/20 at 10:52 pm, a traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of East Highway 20 for speeding. A 40 year old California woman was cited.
On 2/1/20 at 8:16 pm, a traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of East Highway 20 for speeding. A 29 year old Georgia woman was cited.
Officers responded to 137 calls for service this week.
