ESU 17 is helping area school districts bring together students to teach a few basic life skills. The event will bring together about 150 sophomores from Valentine, Cody-Kilgore, Thedford, Ainsworth, Rock County and Keya Paha County Schools on March 25th for “An Intro to Life”. Throughout the day, they will work through real life budgeting simulations including a strength skills test, and other life skills events. Lunch will be provided by Sandhills State Bank and hands on banking materials furnished by Well Fargo. There will also be a keynote speaker, Dr. Melissa Griswold.
