Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
December 22-28, 2019
On 12/22/19 at 11:58 pm, Officers made contact with 2 vehicles blocking the roadway near the intersections of A and Vivian Streets. An 18 year old Crookston woman was arrested for assault, resisting arrest and assault on a public safety officer with bodily fluids.
On 12/26/19 at 6:39 pm, a traffic stop was conducted near the 300 block of west 4th street. During this contact a South Dakota woman was arrested on an active Warrant.
On 12/27/19 at 12:48 am, an Officer made contact with a vehicle in the 100 block of west highway 20. Following the contact, a 26 year old woman and 34 year old man, both from North Platte, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and shoplifting. The Department’s Narcotic Detection K9 was deployed during this contact.
On 12/27/19 at 10:09 am, Officers received a report of a stolen motor vehicle that had just occurred at the Conoco station. The Cherry County Sheriff and Chief Deputy were able to locate the vehicle. 3 individuals were taken into custody. 2 juvenile males were subsequently cited and released to parents/guardians and an 18 year old male was jailed for this incident. All 3 males were from South Dakota.
On 12/28/19, throughout the day multiple reports of damage criminal mischief and vandalism were reported. Suspect identification is being sought. If you have information regarding this or other crimes, please contact the Department at 402-376-3055.
