Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
November 24-30, 2019
On 11/26/19 at 1:27 pm, the department received a call from a FBI Special Agent based out of Pierre, SD. The Special Agent provided information regarding an alleged sexual assault that had occurred in Valentine. This resulted in an investigation and subsequent arrest of a 65 year old Valentine man on multiple charges related to the report.
On 11/26/19 at 10:15 pm, Officers served an arrest warrant near the intersection of B and Wood Streets. A 29 year old Valentine man was arrested on this warrant.
On 11/27/19 at 2:54 pm, Officers with the Valentine Police Department and Cherry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of north Main Street in regards to an assault in progress call. A 28 year old Valentine woman was arrested as a result of this call.
On 11/29/19 at 10: 22pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of east highway 20 for a vehicle registration violation. A 21 year old Valentine man was cited for this violation.
Officers responded to only 67 calls for service this week.
