A handmade wooden feed sleigh and harness made by Swede Lolley will be auctioned off at the Valentine Livestock Auction Thursday, October 26th.  The miniature sleigh is pulled by  a pair of Morgan Breyer draft horses donated by Jim and Myki Van Winkle.  The Livestock auction goes live at 3PM and the set will sell at approximately 3:20.  This is not the first time that Swede has used his talents to help this organization.  Several years ago, he made a wooden wagon that was auctioned off.  Swede is very talented in his ability to make items that are true to scale.  Recently he crafted a beautiful John Deere tractor that is perfect right down to the treads on the tire,  and of course all wood.  His generous heart and that of his wife Charlene, are a testament to our community’s concern for one another.

Proceeds from this unique item will be used by the Sandhills Cancer Fund to help families defray costs of transportation, meals and lodging.    For nine years the SCF has supported families of the Sandhills area during their difficult times. In the last year, over $32,000 has helped 65 families.
