Leo Brinda Unit 90 of the American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring their annual Poppy Poster contest. The poppy poster contest is a national contest, and students are eligible to enter one of seven different classes; grades 2-12.

Poster board, size 11” X 14” is a basic requirement. Posters on drawing paper will not be judged.

All posters must meet the deadline of Friday April 21. A drop box is located at 427 North Main Street in Valentine. Posters received after the deadline will be displayed, but not judged. For rules and other information about this contest phone 376-2443 after 4pm.

All posters received will be displayed at the Veterans Club during 1884 Day activities on April 29. Posters selected to go to state competition and all other winners will be featured. During the annual 1884 pancake breakfast Post 90 will sponsor a ballot for a “public choice winner” (any poster not going to state is eligible), and folks may vote for their personal favorite.
