The Valentine Lion’s Club will host a free-will spaghetti feed, live and silent auction for Gerald “Woody” Willcuts, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

The benefit begins at 5 pm at the Cherry County Fairgrounds 4-H building.

The monies raised during this free-will donation fundraiser will go to help the family off-set their medical expenses. There will be entertainment by the Heart City Heartwarmers, a Silent Auction during the dinner, and a Live Auction that will run 7:00pm-8:00pm. Items on the auctions include: star quilts, guns, exercise equipment, passes at area golf courses, and much more! Plan to come for the dinner and stay for the Live Auction.

Although Woody has undergone two rounds of chemotherapy treatment, the doctors have already determined that he may need a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. A search has been done for a donor, and as of now there is not a compatible match available.

During the Benefit Dinner, individuals will have a chance to learn more about becoming a donor and register to become a potential donor. If you are between the ages of 18-55 and in good health, it only takes a few minutes and the swab of your cheeks to see if you are a life-saving match for a patient in need. Please consider joining the registry, you could help change those odds by registering as a potential donor.

Please join the Valentine Lions Club and the Willcuts Family on Thursday, April 13th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for a Medical Benefit and Donor Drive for Woody Willcuts and his family.
