The Sandhills Cattle Association is helping organize relief efforts for ranchers in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas who have suffered losses due to wildfires. More than one million acres of land has been scorched and thousands of cattle have been destroyed by the fires. The Sandhills Cattle Association is helping connect members who have hay with members who are able to donate trucking services or fuel expenses. People in the devastated area need hay, fencing supplies, help disposing of cattle carcasses, low quality hay for grinding and manure to cover burned areas.
If you would like to donate or get more information on this effort, call the SCA office at 402 376 2310 or contact director Katie Kubacki.
