On Thursday, August 16th, 2018, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) joined more than 50 Nebraska county officials at the White House for a discussion focused on several issues, including agriculture and infrastructure policy. Among the representatives were county commissioners, sheriffs, mayors, and municipal officers. Tanya Storer and Martin DeNaeyer, Cherry County Commissioners, were also in attendance for a tour and briefing from members of the cabinet, including a surprise visit from Vice President Mike Pence.
