Mostly routine matters were taken care of during last night’s regular meeting of the Valentine City Council. A lot of the meeting was discussion about reducing the Frederick Peak Golf Board to five members. Some of the council questioned whether the board was still needed. The board stated that the first year was a huge success with tens of thousands of dollars in labor and equipment donated and organized by those members, and questioned why you would change something that has been so profitable in its first season. No action was taken at this time.

The council did approve a couple of expenditures from the LB840 fund: one to a business planning competition and another to funding another facade program.
