Valentine Police Department Week in Review:
Week of February 9-15, 2020
On 02/09/20 at 8:55 pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 2nd and Government Streets. The officer discovered that the driver was driving under suspension. A 47 year old South Dakota woman was arrested for the license violation.
** PREVIOUSLY RELEASED ** On February 12, 2020 at 9:58 pm, a Valentine Police Department Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of East Highway 20. Following an investigation, the officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located packages with suspected methamphetamine in them. Additional drug paraphernalia items were also seized. A 27 year old Valentine man was arrested on multiple drug charges.
** PREVIOUSLY RELEASED ** On February 13, 2020 at 12:43 am, a Valentine Police Department Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Highway 20. Following an investigation, the officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located a duffel bag with over 10 pounds of suspected marijuana in it. Additional items associated with the transportation and delivery of drugs were also seized during this search. A 25 year old Sioux Falls, South Dakota man was arrested on multiple drug charges.
On 02/14/20 at 8:20 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Cherry Street. A woman from South Dakota was cited for not having a driver’s license.
On 2/15/20 at 5:30 pm, a traffic stop was initiated in the 700 block of east highway 20. A 36 year old New Mexico woman was cited for speeding.
Officers responded to 124 calls for service this week.
